About the Artist

MOCKINGBIRD 2 players: two voices, a snare and hi hat and Telecaster guitar- that's it! They have worked with many talented musicians, but finally found their true sound once they pared down to the heart of the music. The simplified instruments push them to play creatively and twice as hard, substantiating the statement “less is more”. MOCKINGBIRD is a duo that can still fill up the room. Their son accompanies on bass for the semi-live recordings of " Vitreous Humour" and "Goodbye Kiss" and has joined them for special shows. Other home recordings go all out with keyboards, multiple guitars and a full drum kit, because, why not? Playing throughout San Diego County in local bars, cafés, car shows, and charity events for over ten years, their playlist is extensive yet eclectic. They give a unique spin to covers that span everything from Johnny Cash to the Violent Femmes fusing them all together with their large collection of original tunes. They are always working on original songs. Fan favorites include “Picture of You” and “Lover” heard on KPRI 102.1 Homegrown Hour.
