About the Artist

Mitchell Trupia, known professionally by his stage name, Mitch Tru, is an American musician and artist who attended New York City's High School of Art and Design. He is recognized for his work blending rock and pop with themes of love and social consciousness. In addition to his artistic career, Trupia was a 9/11 first responder during the September 11 attacks, who volunteered in rescue and recovery efforts at Ground Zero. He was later diagnosed with cancer linked to toxic exposure during that time. In 2025, he was named one of the Art and Design school's famous alumni for his contributions to both art and music, as a project manager for Sony Music and public service.
