"Mines of Paris is a band that’s really hard to peg a genre to. Their earlier songs fall more in line with classic rock and blues, but the band has since gone on to include elements of progressive rock while taking inspiration from bands like The Black Keys and Interpol... they’re crafting music that is technically advanced but still rock and roll at heart...Singer Ron Belanger has got a great voice and even better delivery, lazy where it should be and balls out if it needs to be, and the band knows how to let loose when required." - Dispatch Magazine ( Mar 01, 2012). Mines of Paris formed in 2011 and cut their teeth in Maine's Bangor and Portland music scenes. Since moving back home to southern NH, they've been rebuilding themselves in a new area with new people, and making impressions fast - "When the band starts to play, I am confused. This is like nothing being played around town right now. It is original... Disjointed and fractured sounds coat the room while passionate vocals with a Cobain delivery are pounding out the speakers... Are these guys my new favorite band to come out of NH? I don't know - maybe? I will have to check them out again. I suggest you do the same." - Rob Kleiner (www.yourband.info). With a constantly evolving sound and an eclectic blend of influences, Mines of Paris is a breath of fresh air for people looking for music rich with emotional lyrics, fun hooks, powerful melodies and beautifully crafted rock and roll.
