Miki Rae. (Of Miki Rae & The Hooligans). A dab of Filipino, the spice of Thai, a hint of Kiwi with a messy mixture of Scottish and Irish, creating the exotic vocal sensation of Miki Rae. Inspired by the beautiful surroundings of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Miki Rae performs her music with passion and heart. Miki’s writing consists of everyday experiences of love, happiness, and drama within our lives. The effect of her music is nuanced by the social situation of the listener. With the sirenic voicing within her original songs, the audience will be captivated and enchanted by the magical vibration of Miki’s innocent yet melodic melodies. Miki Rae’s electrifying ukulele rhythms give a genuine island vibe to the songs while the dub-by rasp of Garrett Moore’s guitar licks give the music a cutting psychedelic edge to a rock sound. The heartbeat of the Hooligans consists of Robbie Wheeler on command of the drums and the lavish grooves of the ‘Hoolies’ belonging to Rob Wheeler with the bass. A family affair. This compliments and completes the reggae rock vibe throughout our set. The band just finished their new studio recordings with the amazing producer E. N Young. The fresh materials will be ready for consumption this coming summer. It will be worth the wait!
