“Catch Di Riddim Mikey Dangerous takes the number one spot on the Rebel Vibez Canadian Reggae Top Ten chart with Wicked Hearted, featuring Sizzla. The song — produced by Dub Tone Music — was released in September 2019 as part of the Reggae Hot Plate Vol 1 compilation. The set also features songs from others acts, including Jah Mason and Lutan Fyah. “The feedback has been great, especially from the fans who I truly love and appreciate. I am also very grateful for all the DJs and all the media for the support,” Mikey Dangerous told the Jamaica Observer's Splash. He explained how the collaboration with Sizzla Kalonji came about. “I've always thought it would be an honour to do a song with Sizzla Kalonji. I voiced a tune for a producer that I do work with. He was doing some work out of Jamaica at the time. He loved the tune and thought it would be good to get a feature from Sizzla, so he made a couple links. Sizzla heard the song and liked it and the rest was history,” he sa”

““We never know the worth of water until the well runs dry”‘, for me that sums up 2020 in a nutshell. Let me first and foremost wish all the Community Contact readers and Soca & Reggae lovers a Happy, Prosperous and Healthy New year. During this past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has turned our lives upside down and changed not just the way we live and work but also how we think and behave. Every part of the world has been affected, and every aspect of life has been impacted. Our everyday routines were brought to a stop, and any sense of normalcy was lost. While we stop and look at the world around us, I cannot help but realize what I used to take for granted. If anything, perhaps there are some life lessons to take away from this pandemic. Despite the chaos and uncertainty in our community right now, I would like to shed more light on our Montreal local talents in 2021. Do you remember the Montreal Reggae Artist who was presented with the 2008 JUNO AWARD? Mikey Dangerous whose real”

“LAST week, singer Mikey Dangerous earned his second Juno Award nomination for Best Reggae Recording, for the song Wake Up. The song, released on the Dub Avenue label and produced by Scorpio B, has done well in Canadian reggae circles. “What you may not know is that Canada has its own reggae scene, full of artists who can more than keep up with what's coming out of Jamaica, the U.S. and U.K. So here's a rundown of the Canadian reggae artists you should get to know.”

“BEST OF THE FEST “This past spring we saw the buzz in Calgary with the ‘Music Lives Here’ campaign and the celebration of artistes’ achievements with the presentation of the Juno Awards. Well ReggaeFest would like to recognize some of these artistes and let them know their efforts are greatly appreciated, and also introduce them to the general public,” says Leo Cripps, the producer of the Calgary International Reggae Festival. This year’s line up will include Mikey Dangerous, the 2008 Juno Award Winner for Reggae Recording of the Year. With a unique voice he captivates audiences with his enchanting style and lyrical flow and just like his award winning hit single entitled Don’t Go Pretending, there is no pretending with this Montreal-based performer. The Jamaica-born singer and Juno Award winner will perform on August 14 at the Ship and Anchor Pub as part of the Canadian Reggae Artiste Showcase and at the main event at Shaw Millenium Park on August 16.”

“REGGAE FESTIVAL HEADLINER READY TO BREAK OUT. MIKEY DANGEROUS THE SASKATOON REGGAE AND WORLD MUSIC FESTIVAL SATURDAY 27 THE ODEON For almost a decade, Montréal reggae artist Mikey Dangerous has been putting his own unique twist on the Canadian dancehall scene. Combining energetic performances with a smooth but dominating vocal flow, Dangerous has long been close to crossing over into mainstream territory. Despite a large and loyal fanbase and a ton of critical acclaim, he’s not quite a household word just yet. But don’t bet against him — this is one hard-working performer. Born and Raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Dangerous has kept up a prolific recording profile, releasing an impressive amount of singles, both digitally and on 45-RPM 7" vinyl. His recordings have also been featured in a number of compilations around the world, from Jamaica to England. In 2008, Dangerous won a Juno Award in the category of Reggae Recording of the Year for his single “Don’t Go Pretending”

“MIKEY DANGEROUS WINS JUNO AWARD FOR BEST REGGAE RECORDING Former Trenchtown Comprehensive High School Manning Cup footballer, Mikey Dangerous walked away with the 2008 Juno Award on Sunday April, 6, for his outstanding hit reggae single, "Don't Go Pretending." Voted number one by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) in the category, Best Reggae Recording, Mikey Dangerous was elated. He told YardFlex the whole experience has been tense, yet exhilarating. "Having been my first nomination, I didn't know what to expect. So I was very nervous, but when I heard my name called, I was relieved and very happy to know that my hard work paid off and that all of the work me and my manager have done meant something. I am very grateful," Mikey said.”

Ils accompagnaient Mikey D”
