Good people, It has been a while since our last performance, however we thought it would be great to get the band back together for a great cause. As many of us in Higher Order are music educators, we thought it fitting to help VanderCook School of Music raise some money for their student scholarships. Please join us for a very exciting evening of music and some of the tastiest brews in Chitown. Hope to see you there!
Mike will be performing solo at the Porsche display.

Meshing the genres, yet appreciating them all. There isn’t one kind of music that has totally influenced Mike Gallagher. Alternative Rock is at the core of his new album “The Edge of the Dream.” He’s three-dimensional: guitarist, keyboardist, and vocalist. A versatile artist educated by everything from books to the Blues. Audiences can hear remnants of country, R&B, and soul to accompany the compilations of sound. “I must remain true to the characterization of the song. I know what instruments I hear lyrically.” Mama’s Black Sheep is the musical collaboration of singer-songwriters Ashland Miller (guitar/vocals) and Laura Cerulli (drums/vocals). Touring together since 2008 and both veterans of the singer-songwriter circuit, Miller & Cerulli will make you feel like you’ve been listening to their music for years. Driven by Miller’s versatile guitar grooves, Cerulli’s innovative percussion, and two voices that blend like honey and whiskey, Mama’s Black Sheep create acoustic rock & blues with a style that is distinctly their own. With two well received CD’s to their credit (Unmarked Highway, 2010; Drivin’ On, 2011) and a third in the works, Mama’s Black Sheep has been burning up the road touring extensively throughout the continental US and the Caribbean playing nearly 200 shows a year. Dina Bach began her journey as a songwriter at the age of ten as her fingers naturally stroked the piano keys for the first time. Always musically inclined, Dina spent her childhood playing the cello and singing in school choirs. It was not until she discovered the piano in her home that she quickly found a passion for original composition. She began to develop her confidence as a songwriter and her poise as a performer. In 2008, Dina's music aired on local radio programs WLBK 1360 and WJJG AM 1530. Dina was recognized as a finalist in the Chicago Tribune New Holiday Song Contest for her heartfelt original, "What Christmas Means". With a 4th place finish overall, Dina's song later aired on Chicago’s WGN morning radio. In June 2010, Dina self-released her EP Beginnings, as her music soared to #15 on Reverb Nation's local Pop Chart. Dina shares the stage with Chicago's #1 dance band Green Thirteen, performing as lead vocalist/keyboardist in shows all over Chicago and surrounding states. Playing on Chicago's very own Odyssey II Cruise Ship at Navy Pier, Dina proves herself as not only an award-winning songwriter, but also an exceptional entertainer.
