Michelle Walsh is an independent award-winning singer songwriter hailing from Derry City Northern Ireland. A multiple UKSC finalist, her songwriting skills have already gained her 10 finalist awards in the international UK Songwriting Contest. 2020 sees the beginning of a new chapter for the songbird as she prepares to hit the studio to record some of her best work. Michelle caught the ear of legendary music industry veteran Judy Stakee in 2017 and became Brand Ambassador for her company in 2019. Judy Stakee served 20 years as Vice President at Warner Chappell Music and developed and signed artists such as Sheryl Crow and Katy Perry to name a few.
On 2018 Michelle's Ep "Fire Away" caught the attention of Mark S. Berry an American music producer who has 36 international gold and platinum record awards. The Grammy and Juno nominated artists he has worked with include David Bowie, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Kool & The Gang and Carly Simon to name a few. Michelle signed a one year publishing and management contract with AMG.
Michelle's genre of music consists of catchy rock and pop songs with a touch of punk, soul, dance and RnB. Michelle is beloved for her hook-laden choruses and lightening sharp melodies. Her greatest strength is power ballads that come straight from the heart. Her live performances are known to be powerful, showcasing her breathtaking vocals, fierce honesty, authenticity and her magnetic personality. Her influences are singer songwriters and bands such as, Alanis Morissette, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Cranberries, Skunk Anansie, Prince, Foo Fighters, Adele, to name a few.
