Poster artwork: Peter Aldrich St Morris Sinners The St. Morris Sinners sole aim is to bring dirty blues back to the masses, make music slippery and to transform different genres into their own unique style. The St. Morris Sinners formed in late 2011, and soon made a name for themselves around Adelaide as an exciting new live band. Drawing influence from Nick Cave, MC5, The Gun Club, Beast of Bourbon and many more, the St. Morris Sinners have drawn on these bands to create a unique amalgam that is their own unique sound. http://stmorrissinners.bandcamp.com/ https://www.facebook.com/stmorrissinners Michael Plater “Well travelled troubadour” Michael Plater is a singer/songwriter based in Melbourne. Taking in various indie, art-rock, country, and “noir” influences, his album “Exit Keys” was released in 2012 and received worldwide critical acclaim (in such areas as the U.K, the Dominican Republic, the U.S and Europe) and picked up strong national airplay on Australian radio . A new album “Mythologies” will be launched in Adelaide at the Hotel Metro on Jan 21th. Recorded at Melbourne’s Headgap Studio, the album features contributions from such Melbourne luminaries as Dean Richards (Disturbed Earth, Whirlywirld, Equal Local), Rossco Harvey (Cabin Inn), Neil Thomason (Ricaine), Pete Azzopardi (the Coves, the Phantom Hitchhikers), Matt Green (the Happy Lonesome), Clare Bligh, and Danny Martinov. http://michaelplater.bandcamp.com/ https://www.facebook.com/michaelplatersolo Henry Hugo: Currently based in Zurich, Switzerland, Argentinian musician Henry Hugo’s musical creations “transcend the mediocre of spirit and vision and inhabit a realm that is at one with ambience, emotional atmosphere and intelligence. There is a surreal quality to Henry’s vocals and a delicate, compelling quality to the compositions.” Having worked with such acts as Mark Steiner and His Problems and Melbourne composer and singer Julitha Ryan (Silver Ray), amongst others, his latest solo album, Noctuary Songs, is out now. https://henryhugo.bandcamp.com/album/noctuary-songs Dean Richards: A legendary figure in Melbourne's post-punk scene, Dean Richards has played in such seminal outfits as Whirlywirld (alongside Ollie Olsen) and Equal Local (once described by Clinton Walker as "the most important band to emerge from Melbourne in the wake of the Birthday Party's relocation to London"). He has written songs for the likes of Stephen Cummings and Michael Hutchence, plays guitar in the Ron Rude Renaissance, and has released over 80 albums under the "Disturbed Earth" moniker. http://disturbedearth.bandcamp.com/
