About the Artist

Hello, I'm Michael Crawford, a Published author of books, lyrics and Poetry, BMI member. My Poetry, titled "Marooned" and "Winds of Fire" has been published and added to “Best Poets of 2021, Vol 2,” collection of poems from Eber and Wein Publishing, and “Upon Arrival, Solitude,” also by Eber and Wein. In 2009, I completed a Project Management degree at City University in Seattle. I have been working at a local aerospace company from 1988 to present, 31 yrs. total. It’s been within the past 10 yrs, writing has become a focus of release, emptying my thoughts of all the specifications and processes overriding my brain. Nevertheless, writing has always been something I enjoy and a welcome change of pace. Some of my favorite things to write are lyrics for various genres, short stories, and working on a novel. Within the last 10 years, I submitted two poems for a poetry contest in a poetry magazine in 2009. In 2018, I was featured in Poze music magazine in two issues after my songs were heard. My most recent single and featured here is titled, “She Is” is about a beautiful and adventurous lady and a man’s love for her.” She is sophisticated, notorious, dangerous, beautiful, loves to go on a safari and both can’t hold back their secrets. This song is sung and arranged by Chas Evans and can be heard through Spotify, Amazon Music, CD Baby Store and iTunes. I have a number of lyrics written and have completed collaboration projects with singers and musical performers. My first song, "No Turning Back,” I sent to country alternative artists Lachlan Bryan & the Wildes in Australia in 2016 with positive responses. An album titled “No Turning Back” came out shortly after, with more songs sung and arranged by Chas Evans of country and rock ballads. I was featured in a UK lyric Magazine called “Write Away” lyric magazine after my song “Broken Fences” was heard in the UK when I received a request for the lyric and song from “Write Away.” My song, love song, streamed well in the UK and from my “From a Distance" album. A music video was created from my song “Crossing the Border” I completed an album titled “Going through the Motions”, sung and arranged by Chas Evans, now available for purchase on Physical CD and downloads through Spotify, Amazon Music, CD Baby Store and iTunes. Songs are doing well both in the USA and Internationally. Music videos were created for songs from this album, songs “I Don't Want” “Broken Fences” and “Singing the Working Man Blues” My newest album is titled “On the Fence,” a collection of songs of soft rock, Pop and country songs. The song “On the Fence '' was heard and requested by Diamond Garden Music in Nashville. They loved the song and requested it be added to their “Route 66” cd , a collection of songs from various artists, with “On the Fence” placed as the first song to be heard. Progressively, my songs I wrote and collaborated with country artists Holly Sims, Joe Robinson in Nashville for the creation of music to the lyrics I wrote; producing the “Test of Time” album. Music video was created for the song “Why” Lonely Oak Radio station in Texas; Country Music Radio in UK, CatorWeb Radio, around the world station Good Sound Radio, an international radio station, and Chasing Your Dreams radio station in Arizona, all currently play my songs. Two other recent singles include “Torn” is about Human Trafficking, the human condition of those being “torn” from where you are born, and “Country Life” about the love of the country life over life in the city, and These songs are also sung and arranged by Chas Evans. I continue to work with Chas Evans, work on my music and writing projects. I will also look to collaborate with other musical artists to help create more timeless songs that will captivate the audience for playlists to come.
