“I am who He sees” is a phrase to some but to Megan McCloud it is a motto. It reminds her that God's love is not dependent on what we say or do but on who He is regardless of where or who we are now.
As an indie artist from St. Augustine FL, Megan McCloud is influenced by many types of music genres including chorus, musical theatre, pop, alternative, and rap. Each has helped to develop her sound. Megan’s music can be described as raw and relatable. She says, “Music has changed my life. The right song at the perfect moment provides a hope that never stops being necessary.” Megan is known for her thought provoking lyric driven songs such as “Soul’s Sufficiency” and “Just for the One”.
Megan developed a love of music while singing in school and church choirs and competing in local and national competitions. Songwriting soon followed. Megan says that “lyrics have the ability to speak to us in a collection of words that we may not know we need. Melodies transport us to where we should be. Music inspires and encourages my soul and I strive to lift others up in my writing.” Megan’s compassionate heart for others and the trials and triumphs of her own life story are reflected in her songs. As an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God, Megan has a strong commitment to her faith. She inspires and encourages listeners to explore who God is and learn about the promises He has for our lives.
Megan’s remix of the single, "Just for the One" challenges us all to ask would this all be worth it if we only influenced or helped one person.
