Contact: maurimusic@hotmail.com Since 2000, Mauricio OPAZO MUÑOZ shares his activities with the performing and conductor of guitar ensembles. His compositions for guitar and guitar orchestra, some of them have been performed in many countries by the author as well by other groups and soloists. Catalan Classical Guitarist Carles Pons has included my piece "Bolero para un Angel" on his new CD published by SHEVA Collection in 2008. Some of his compositions have been published by Berben Edizioni Musicali, Italy and Haus Der Musik Trekel,Germany. The prestigious Greek guitarist Eva Fampas premiered the piece "" work for solo guitar, dedicated to the great musician Dimistris Fampas in the Parnassos Concert hall in November 2009. He is a permanent guest at music festivals in Chile and abroad, a jury member in guitar competitions. In addition to his performances as a soloist, he is a member in Duo La Folía with flutist Alejandro Lavanderos, Cuarteto de Guitarras Jacarandá with María Luz López, Christian Araya and Gonzalo Reyes. Also with bandoneonist Rodolfo Jorquera. In 2019 he was on Tour "Vuelvo al Sur" that performed concerts and lectures in cities such as Lima, Cochabamba, Huánuco, Cusco, Bogotá and Santiago de Chile. In 2022 he was composed some pieces for chamber music for guitar. “ La Evasión” for flute and guitar and “Cinco piezas de Fantasía” for Cello and Guitar.
