Built on years of songwriting and live performance experience, ME & The Borrowed delivers a sound that blends melodic rock, piano-driven emotion, and honest storytelling. Fronted by longtime songwriter Matthew Eizenga—formerly of First Name Basis and Two Days Drive—the project marks a new chapter: more refined, more intentional, and more dynamic.
What started as a solo piano-based collection has evolved into a full-band experience, layering driving guitars, atmospheric textures, and powerful vocals over a foundation of strong songwriting. The result sits between alternative rock, modern singer-songwriter, and cinematic indie Yacht Rock.
ME & The Borrowed is currently building out its live lineup and actively preparing for upcoming shows, with a focus on tight musicianship, authentic connection, and songs that stick with you long after the set ends.
