About the Artist

A co-founder of Americana band The Old Part of Town, Matt has released two solo roots rock/Americana albums: No Stone Unturned, and Big Lucky, which garnered Honorable Mention for Best Album in the Mid-Atlantic Music Monthly. He has placed songs in 3 indie movies, with the most recent being 'Ape Canyon'', in 2021. A multi-instrumentalist, his guitar playing style is influenced by everything from early folk masters to Ry Cooder and Taj Mahal. His band The Old Part of Town released their third album 'Something Special' in 2021 and have a new and fourth recording "Inside Out" released in September 2023
