You are cordially invited to an incredible evening of music from some of the best blues musicians in the area. The night kicks off with Husky Burnette, followed by Jon Harris Band, then Marlow Drive and a special performance from Drew Sterchi & Blues Tribe who will be playing his history with the blues. TICKETS Tickets are $20 and include a delicious BBQ dinner and tea. There are also $13 tickets available for folks who don't want BBQ but, don't worry, we'll have some on hand for sale in case you change your mind! Beer, wine and other non-alcoholic beverages will be for sale. BAND BIOS HUSKY BURNETTE The Blues are a religion and Brian "Husky" Burnette sho nuff preaches it. You can feel the testimony in his blend of Delta and Hill Country Blues with Rock n Roll. His music is gritty, soulful, southern, low-down and dirty. Husky has followed in the musical family footsteps of rockabilly kings Johnny and Dorsey Burnette. Husky has written and recorded his own music for years and toured with such greats as Roger Alan Wade, Hank Williams III and more. He has sat in with and shared the stage with many others such as Leon Russell, T-Model Ford, Kenny Brown, Guy Clark, Emmylou Harris, Shooter Jennings, Scott H. Biram and J.J. Grey & Mofro. JON HARRIS BAND From lonesome and heart-felt ballads to searing bottleneck slide blues, singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Jon Harris embodies the soul and spirit of American music. Raised in Stone Mountain Georgia, over the past 10 years, he has been playing out and gaining fans in and around the Atlanta area. His smoky voice and accomplished guitar work have been heard in such local Atlanta venues as Smith’s Old Bar, Blind Willie’s, and the renowned Eddie’s Attic. MARLOW DRIVE Marlow Drive describe themselves as "Tennessee Riverbank Blues /Rock." Their take on the blues is coming from a blend of a multitude of genres - "a little bit of fast and a little pinch slow then shaken but not stirred." Add some spice with some ice and you got Marlow Drive. DREW STERCHI & BLUES TRIBE A native of Tennessee, Drew Sterchi started playing guitar at the age of 14, doing covers of Steppenwolf, Stones, Doors & Kinks. As every true, life-long musician will admit, there comes a moment that not only changes your playing, but the direction of your life. That epiphany came to Drew when he heard Chicago blues Icon Michael Bloomfield’s blistering solo on the song “Texas” from the Electric Flag album “Long Time Comin’.“ “After that day, all my playing started tilting toward a more expressive blues style.” While opening for acts like Johnny Winter, Bonnie Bramblett, Sea Level & Dr. John, Drew got busy honing his unique style of the blues. A blend of Old School electric & acoustic blues, R & B and some classic Rock. While his confidence soared on the fretboard, Drew started experimenting with an old jazz device called “scat singing,” singing random syllables in unison with an instrument. He would add this to some of his extended solos & it helped define his evolving musical identity. Drew’s latest effort, “Left Here with the Blues," is a collection of material that speaks of his own history. Songs that tell a personal story of his own experience and evolvement over the years. As you explore the lyrics and feel the emotional moments that grace this work, you will find that it is much more than just a ‘Blues’ album.
