About the Artist

Maria Christina is an extremely-versatile lead vocalist who delivers a wide variety of genres in her own signature style that compels the listener to a place of musical bliss! Her repertoire is diverse including Motown hits, EDM, classic jazz standards, country, trending top 40's, and classic rock! She engages the audience in a natural way and takes them on a beautiful-musical journey by means of her mesmerizing tone! You may hire her in several different musical-combinations; as a solo act, duo, trio, quartet, or larger full band! https://www.instagram.com/mariachristinamusicco/ Early on, Maria discovered a love for the great 20th century songs, ranging from the 1920’s and 30’s show-tunes through the classic 1950’s and 60’s pop and soul songbook and into the 80’s, 90’s and beyond. Any song that has “good bones” and lyrics that appeal is a possibility for Maria. Two songwriters that especially appeal to her are Elton John and Stevie Wonder, for obvious reasons. One not-so-obvious twist is having a female vocalist own these tunes as well as many others, by the Commodores, Journey, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye and Bill Withers, and others. Her sets also include “deep tracks”- songs that were loved but are not as commonly played now. Folks in the audience break into smiles, nods, and dance moves when these songs are played, as they bring a fresh sound, mixed in with classics like Lovely Day and Let’s Stay Together by Al Green. Maria performs an engaging solo act; featuring 3 different performance styles. She interact with the audience in a natural and light-hearted way; definitely come by one of her solo gigs to hear the musical variety she incorporates and enjoy the good vibes she puts out along with the beautiful vocal tones! Her backing group provides great grooves and textures for Maria’s singing; whether a sweet ballad, medium swing, dance floor rocker or all out disco inferno, this group has everything you'll want to make your next event even more memorable!
