The Ferrario Southern Tier Jazz Festival is an outdoor live music event taking place on August 16, 2014 (rain or shine) at Thorne Street Park in Horseheads NY from 2-7pm. We are pleased to announce that two-time Grammy nominated saxophonist and flutist, Najee, will be joining returning artists contemporary jazz keyboardist, Marcus Johnson, Paradigm Shift with special guest saxophonist Lynn Ligammari and local favorite Top Shelf. This third annual family-friendly fundraising event features lawn seating, food and beverage provided by the EOP CFJP Bistro, and a farmer's market, including regional wines. A walking path around the perimeter of the concert area, children's play area, and adjacent public pool are also available. You may bring your own cooler. No pets please. Proceeds benefit the Economic Opportunity Program, Inc.

Johnson finds a riff he likes, a phrase on the upper-register piano keys, and his fingers move like hummingbird wings as he repeats and repeats and repeats.
