Mama Deville is Donni Jay De-Ville, previously known just as Jay. Female Brit, living in America, lead vocalist, harmonist, guitarist, songwriter. Started out career as a nurse, becoming a dancer for 7+ years, with 4yrs residency in a club owned by the man who became her manager, Ian Reid, also with XTC, a top band with Virgin Records in the UK... Sang and danced with bands for many years later with 3 years of musical DUO experience. Performing around the country circuit in Harlow, Essex with my various bands, and for the British and American military bases. Apart from some silver hair, I'm not that different facially or bodily in my more mature age. Signed to UK record company, United Artists, in the early years, with several appearances on television. Two of them being in the serials Blake's 7, the UK alternative to Star Trek, and another being with Neil Innes from Monty Python Circus. Also appeared in advertisements, one of them being Pimms No 1 promotion with Dave Lee Travis top UK DJ there at the Top Rank, Reading. I would like to have re-recorded the songs posted in this site, being they are only rehearsals. The initial performance tapes were mislaid on entering USA. Published novelist of; 'Into the Lyons Den' by Donni De-Ville, which is a mystery, murder, thriller story of a 'Dating Agency that Kills.' Now in the process of publishing a compilation of short autobiographical stories and completing her autobiography to publish this year. Am I being too honest here? I'm a pacifist, animal activist, pen-warrior, and love ALL precious lives. Except for mosquitoes and Komodo Dragons) I try to inform others online to help keep them healthier.
