"She’ll take you out to the edge, and back in again." William Marshall
"...class without the pretensions. There's a kindness always at heart, a quietness, too. Affirmingly human and beautiful." Bill Burnyeat
Lyndsay Wills is a Canadian singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who has written, recorded and performed countless songs and tunes. No matter how personal the song, there is commonly a psychological aspect to her style, a reflection of over 35 years of work as a psychiatric nurse. Primarily a solo artist, she also plays in her band Lyndsay Wills and the No Frills String Band, accompanied by Michael Gix, Stewart Robson and Kate Semple.
Lyndsay released her first CD, Flight Risk in 2017. Three of her songs have received awards, 9:30 at the Factory (Left Coast Labour Chorus), Danger Land (Toronto Songwriting School) and Storm Coming (Robert Kotta Memorial Contest). Her songs have been described as "lyrical and gripping", and whether you find yourself connecting to her intimate lyrics, her warm vocal performances, or to her guitar, banjo and fiddle playing, you will be sure to find something you love within her artistry.
