LOST CITY BAND is an evolving group of musicians and musical styles. The founding members were born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and began performing as the Lost city Band in 1982 at their Oak Park studio. Exploring all types of music rather than identify with one genre led the band to the Americana label.
LCB has enjoyed many opportunities over multiple decades, performing at popular clubs, venues and special events in Ohio, Michigan and Canada. LCB has been a favorite band for events held by Carhartt, a celebration for the Detroit Police and Fire Department held on the grounds of the old train station, and at the Taste of Fenton for several years.
LCB also enjoyed performing on the Mitch Albom Show hosted by Warren Pierce and Ken Brown at the Fisher Building studio. LCB was also fortunate to compete and place second in the Detroit Blues Society's Blues Challenge for the finals at Callahan's Music Hall.
The band continues to write and record their own songs and look for a variety of covers to interpret. Friendship and love of music brings the five core members together on a weekly basis to explore the creative process in their studio. The extended members of LCB can increase the band size up to eight members which can afford them a variety of musical styles.
