I'll be playing and singing Irish music for you early on in the celebration. Visit the website to see all of what's going on at this year's Greater Greensboro St. Paddy's Party: http://stpatricksgreensboro.com/index.html
This is Iron Gate's annual Christmas Open House & Food Drive at The Winery at Iron Gate Farm. Donations go to Allied Churches of Burlington. Local Artisans will offer their goods for sale. I'll be playing while you enjoy holiday snacks. Your favorite Iron Gate wine will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle.
I'll be playing a couple of acoutic sets with Paul Hunnemann. Paul's a great guitarist and songwriter, and you'll be able to hear songs old and new by the both of us.
I'm going to be part of a free Trager demonsration at Deep Roots Market. Come into the Community Room, where I'll be providing soothing music while Betsy Oldenburg gives you a demonstration of Trager, a hands-on technique for releaving pain and stress. Trager is hard to explain, so you must experience it for yourself. Gift certificates and CDs of my album On Dulcimer Wings will be available for sale.
This is a new group that I've just started playing with. We'll be playing our unplugged set first, and more rocking set second. Interesting stuff, not to be missed.

“It’s known that the words “dulcet” and “dulcimer” share a common Latin root (dulcis). Dulcet means “soothing, mellow, and pleasant,” and this recording of hammered dulcimer instrumentals from L.M. Kirwan is all that and more. On Dulcimer Wings features 16 tracks, most of them either traditional pieces or composed by credited to others (with one Kirwan-composed number, “For the Gulf”). The artist plays every song with masterful technique and genuine feeling. Like its “cousin,” the Celtic harp, the gently reverberating tones of the dulcimer’s strings triggers an almost automatic relaxation response. Because CD packaging is modest, in-store play is recommended to spur sales of this magical music.”
