Lloyd Marcus, The Unhyphenated American Music Bio: Lloyd Marcus: Singer/Songwriter, Prolific Writer and Fine Artist Music is in my DNA. All music genres move me. My famous cousin is Columbia Records recording artist, jazz singer Irma Curry. http://amzn.to/2tzAZDS As a toddler, I remember falling to sleep listening to music because mom placed the radio beside my bed after my afternoon bath. I began singing gospel solos in my preacher dad's east Baltimore storefront church around age 9. In my early teens, Dad took my 4 younger siblings and me to see the movie, "The Sound of Music". I remembered every song; making me most likely the only Baltimore urban kid singing, "Edelweiss". In 1969, my musical gifts served my country in the U.S. Army; performing in the Green Beret Chorus, Gen. Flanagan's Barbershop Quartet and numerous USO shows. After ending my tour of duty with an honorable discharge, I landed the role of "Judas" in a regional production of the rock opera, "Jesus Christ Superstar". I've performed at over 500 rallies on numerous national bus tours with Tea Party Express and other patriotic groups. A highlight was performing live in Washington DC for an audience of over 1 million. Audience favorites include my original, "American Tea Party Anthem", my "Trump Train" parody and my original, "We Are Americans." In honor of my extremely romantic late mom, I have recorded classic love songs such as, "The Way You Look Tonight" in a smooth jazz style. My jazz recordings include my original song, "Momma Had a Big Mouth." Recently ending my relationship with a record label, I am an independent artist.
