Solo artist Lisa Gee is gaining recognition, acclaim and notoriety all over the world! Lisa is a songwriting singer / multi instrumentalist who is fun, funny, poignant and soulful. An eclectic and prolific songwriter, she writes in many styles and genres of music, including jangle pop, adult contemporary, rock, light rock / folk-rock, country-rock, Americana and traditional pop music for grown ups! And kids too...yeah, kids like her too. And everyone in between! While Lisa Gee is a solo artist, her most recent album was put together with some of the best session musicians in the business. Lisa Gee writes all the music and does all the singing and plays acoustic guitar and keyboards; Kenny Aronoff, one of the most educated and famous drummers on the planet having worked with hundreds of rock acts including John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Bodines, Supersonic Blues Machine featuring Billy Gibbons (his resume reads like a "Who's Who of Rock Music"), etc., etc. does the drums and percussion for Lisa on this album, Don Mancuso, a Rochester native and local legend, formerly of The Lou Gramm Band and currently of the all-original band D-Drive plays rhythm and acoustic guitars, and James LoMenzo of Black Label Society, Mega Death, John Fogerty, White Lion and Slash's Snake Pit, handles the bass playing and mixes / masters the music. He also does some production work on this album as well.
Lisa Gee has been in bands most of her life, including Broken Hip and The Statix, and has recorded with Don Mancuso for many years, and also with recording artist Kevin Lee of Kevin Lee and The Kings. She is an accomplished classical pianist, cellist and guitar player. Lisa wrote her first song at the age of 4, and has been writing and recording music ever since in a variety of different musical styles. Lisa also does solo performances at various local clubs, and teaches piano, guitar and voice.
