“Rochester, N.Y. His real name is Nathan Arnold. But please, call him "Lil Wes". When we ask why Wes? The 11-year-old boy explains: "My father's name is Big Wes and I want to be just like him, so I am Lil Wes, Wesley is my middle name too." He is smart, talented and humble. The best part of his rap music? A lot of the songs the 6th grader writes have a message. Some remind teens to stay away from drugs and the streets. Another called: "Dear Momma" reminds teens to listen to their mother and stay out of trouble. Nathan is a student at School Number 46 . He credits his parents, Shamara and Wes, and little brother Naquill, for their support and his success. His New Media Manager, Adam Sweet designed the 11-year-old's website, poster and released his new CD. For now, school comes first, but if Hollywood calls, Shamara says she will let her son follow his dreams. He also has a fallback if this doesn't work out. Nathan is quite the boxer and says he wouldn't mind going professional someday.”
