Band profiles: Lance Lipinsky and The Lovers "The son of Rock & Roll.” - Bo Diddley "What’s good doesn’t die,” is a childhood inheritance 28 years old Texas native Lance Lipinsky feels obligated to broadcast to audiences. In a birthright that resurrects a haunting musical persona from the past, Lance carries on the tradition of his heroes in a crusade that is the “retro revival.” Showcasing driving Jerry Lee Lewis style piano rhythms and Elvis inspired swagger in his original music, Lance is a modern day evolution, almost a descendant of his influences of the 50’s and 60’s in his live shows and in his song writing. An entertainer and songwriter, Lipinsky delivers an explosive piano performance showcasing his influences of the 1950s and ’60s in his original music and unforgettable live stage show. In the world of rockabilly, many front men stood behind guitars, but few till this day stand behind a piano. Like his 1950s piano heroes of Fats Domino, Floyd Krammer, Charlie Rich, Ray Charles and Little Richard, Lipinsky carries on this boogie-woogie heritage behind 88 keys, taking on a new-age Jerry Lee Lewis persona. These influences are resurrected in his original music, a modern day evolution of the ’50s and ’60s era. Being born too late has its advantages. Lance started on the Las Vegas strip at a mere 17 years old and made his national television debut at the original Ryman Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn. He portrayed his piano pioneer hero Jerry Lee Lewis in “Million Dollar Quartet,” with more than 2,000 performances under his belt since 2010 at the Apollo Theater in Chicago. An original cast member in the Tony Award winning “Million Dollar Quartet” for more than five years, he’s started a residency at the Hard Rock Cafe Chicago with his new show “Rock Baby Rock” which celebrates the history of the 1950's & 60's birth of Rock & Roll era. Preserving the original authentic sound of the music combined with high energy showmanship, Lance explores the melting pot of styles that created pop music's most innovative decade. http://www.thelovers.com/ http://www.rockbabyrocklive.com/ The Revomatics "The Revomatics are Milwaukee's premier surf act, culling from the old as well as new." -Southern Surf Stomp! http://www.therevomatics.com/ The Night Crawlers “This Wausau foursome has plenty of personality as evidenced first in their bowling-shirt band uniforms and in their nicknames: Bluto, Sandy-O, Johnny Switchblade and Tex.” -Wausau City Pages http://thenightcrawlersband.com/ Burn rubber and get your tickets at the #CCC box office W62 N546 Washington Avenue, Cedarburg, WI.
