Born Lanny Ray Smith in Lake Providence,La. in 1963. As a child, music was like a spirit to Lanny. It was in his mind,body & soul. He began playing music in elementary school & later on joined his high school marching band in the 7th grade. This made him envision his dream of being an entertainer / performer. He & his friends formed their 1st group called "WorJam". The group continued thereafter & they recorded their 1st single entitled " Love Is Runniing Out On you" at Malaco Studio in Jackson,Ms.
Lanny moved to Las Vegas in 1985. His love / passion for music continued. As a DJ, he adopted the name "Lancealot". Although his life went through trials & tribulations, he never gave up on his dream!!!!!!
He decribes his style of songwriting as " Keeping It Real "!!! With flowing melodies & deep lyrics, Lancealot likes to write songs with meaningful & realistic thoughts!!! He's inspired to write with positive feelings , passion & enlightenment!!!!
