About Kenny
Kenny Menard is a Connecticut- and North Carolina-based songwriter, singer, pianist, and guitarist whose music is rooted primarily in Country, Folk, Folk-Rock, and story-driven songwriting.
Over the years, Kenny has drawn inspiration from many of the songwriters and artists he has admired, including Keith Whitley, Vern Gosdin, Paul Overstreet, Merle Haggard, Hank Cochran, Jim Croce, and many others.
His songs often begin with real experiences, personal memories, relationships, places, or moments from everyday life. Some are deeply personal, while others are expanded or embellished to create a stronger story. Kenny’s writing frequently uses vivid descriptions, imagery, and familiar turns of phrase to help listeners see the story as well as hear it.
One of his most requested songs over the years has been “You Don’t Love Me.”
Kenny is affiliated with Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) and has released music through major digital music platforms. His catalog continues to grow as he writes, records, revisits older compositions, and develops new material for artists and producers.
