Frankfort, Kentucky's Froggy 104.9 Radio Station is proud to announce the St. Jude Acoustic Jam. Proceeds from the benefit will go towards the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The concert will take place on January 28, 2011 at the Grand Theatre in Frankfort, Kentucky. Doors open at 6PM and the show starts at 7PM. The lineup includes Hoss Howard, Due West, and Karli Whetstone. These three acts are ones to be a lookout for in 2011! Hoss Howard North Carolina native Hoss Howard has been impacting radio recently with his country love song, "Dirt Road." The Gulf War Veteran has a variety of musical influences with traditional country and southern rock. He's opened up for the Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson, Diamond Rio, and more. Due West Due West is a trio composed of three musicians, Matt Lopez, Brad Hull, and Tim Gates. They made a mark on the charts last year with "I Get That All The Time," which was the highest-charting single from a self-released act on the Music Row Country BreakOut chart in 2009. The video for the song hit # 3 on the GAC Top 20 Countdown. Their current song "The Bible and the Belt" has been gaining airplay and listeners have enjoyed the tune. Karli Whetstone Ohio native Karli Whetstone has been making a name for herself as she makes her way in the music business. Singing since she was 12, she flew to Nashville when she was 15 to get a taste of the town. Soon after making several trips down, she began performing shows with Taylor Swift, Phil Vassar, Darryl Worley, and more. “Nashville pushes you to get better,” she admits. “As a singer, a songwriter and a performer, you have to be the best, because it’s definitely the major leagues.” Her current single, "I Didn't," has impacted radio with the sassiness of leaving a man who thought he was bigger than life. The concert is brought to you by Grassroots Promotions & St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. More information can be found here. Tickets may be purchased here soon.
