Justina Lee Black Singer-Songwriter | Rhythm Guitar | Congas Born in Detroit, Michigan, Justina Lee Black’s musical journey began at the age of eight, when she first picked up a guitar. Her early career blossomed in Detroit as “Justina’s Secret,” with the creative partnership of producer and guitar virtuoso Benny Caruso, whose vision helped bring her debut CD “Justina” to life—a project that earned three Detroit Music Award nominations. Justina’s passion for music reignited in Las Vegas, where she joined forces with singer-songwriter and Detroit producer Michael Wilde to form the guitar duo “Black and Wilde.” Together, they reimagined Wilde’s song “I Cried For Us Tonight,” further showcasing Justina’s soulful artistry. Now residing and performing in the Florida Keys, Justina continues to record in Detroit with producer Eli Makowski, most recently collaborating on the single “Another Chance.” Beyond her music, Justina has hosted the cable talk show “Walk That Talk” and leads the musical puppet troupe “Lady J and the Puppetiones,” blending creativity and community engagement. A multi-talented artist, Justina is also a best-selling author featured in the anthology “Limitless Woman—Charting the Path to Unstoppable Success.” Her powerful true-life story, “Walking into the Darkness to Turn on the Light,” chronicles her transformative experience in prison, using music to bring hope and change to those around her.
