Julie and I will be in town for the weekend and will be playing 2 sets at The Iron Post on Saturday night, starting @ 9pm. We'd love to see our friends and family if you can make it. It has been a while since we were back in my hometown.
This will be our last performance in Colorado and our friends Kevin and Kathryn DeForrest are graciously hosting this house concert at their home. We will play our original songs, some bluegrass, Beatles, James Taylor, and blues.
Explore, analyze and critique various components of songwriting including melody, rhythm and harmony as they relate to various forms of ‘roots music’ genres such as bluegrass, blues, country and folk. We will also look at the music of The Beatles, Bob,Dylan, Joni Mitchell and other late 60’ and early 70’ writers who have benefited from and had/have an impact on the contemporary ‘roots music’ creative scene.
