Jos Garcia
Jos Garcia is a musician, singer, songwriter, recording artist, brand ambassadress, and producer. She is a Spanish Filipina who was born in Manila and grew up in Antipolo City in a musically inclined family. No one can contest that she is the most sought-after Filipina singer in Japan, especially in the Kansai Region Growing up, she used to listen to music and began singing at the early age of seven (7) and was a member of a choir at the age of twelve (12). She is a celebrated personality in Japan, particularly in Kyoto City, where she is well known for her versatility as a performer and involvement in civic activities. Jos is versatile in projecting various emotions. She has multiple talents and a multi-media artist. Her range of voice is amazing! She can switch music genres from pop to rock to R&B to soul to hip-hop without diminution in vocal quality and singing style. She can even do such while dancing! Hence, she is truly a complete package of an artist. She is not just an ordinary vocalist for she can also play different musical instruments. People were usually surprised and often describe her as a singer with a powerful and magnificent voice with passionate originality. Music has always been part of her life. In 2006, she released her first album in the Philippines entitled "THE VERSATILE" under Ivory Records. The carrier single of which is the song entitled, "IKAW ANG IIBIGIN KO". It marked the beginning of her own musical journey in the Philippines. The song became a hit, and it was played on most radio stations across the country. Until this very day, the said song is still being played in frequency radio stations nationwide. Her second album entitled “IS THIS LOVE” under Mauve Records was released in Kyoto City, Japan. This album features the song, Hannari Nagare", the Japanese version of the hit song, "Ikaw Ang Iibigin Ko". As to her professional career in the Land of the Rising Sun, she is the First Filipina to sing at the Xavier-Louis Vuitton Bar in Kyoto City. She also held several concerts at Selected Repos, one of the most recognized live house music bars in the District of Gion. Five-star hotels in Osaka and Kyoto are also her usual venues to perform at. Above all, she is the only Filipina to regularly perform at the main show of the Pacific Venus Cruise Japan. In November 2020, she released the song, "Nagpapangap" under Viva Records. The said song was composed by Rey Valera, known in the local industry as "Mr. Hit Maker" and considered as one of the most established, award-winning, and best composers in the Philippines. Jos Garcia was awarded as the Best Female Acoustic Artist in the 13th Star Awards for Music by the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) for the said song. Recently, she is about to release several songs likewise composed by Rey Valera. During her free time, she is into organizing and producing concerts as well as attending other singing engagements such as weddings and other private functions and events. Further, she is also the endorser/ brand ambassadress of Natasha, one of the more known brands in the Philippines. Currently, she is promoting her new single, “Iiwan Na Kita”, a song written by Mr. Rey Valera specifically made to be performed by her. Jos Garcia had created a path of success of her own to follow. Truly, a "VERSATILE" person.
