“Welcome to the World of Feathabees, the creation of artist Jorie Jenkins of Ann Arbor. Jenkins (was) a regular at the Sunday Artisan Market in Ann Arbor. "I believe my work reflects the whimsy, imagination and play that is so omnipresent in the true child," she says. Feathabees are quirky, friendly "humanimals." "I was raised by artists and my ideas began as experimental doodles," she says of the characters. "It's as if the (original) Feathabee character said, 'Come meet my friends,'" Jenkins says of the other bird /insect / lizard characters that appear in a book. The critters can be found on note cards, prints and on gourds... ”
