About the Artist

I'm from Evansville, Indiana, and like my father and my grandfather, I began playing guitar on the same Gibson flat top. I still have it today. I started this love affair with writing songs when I was ten and I just can't stop. It's kind of magical to me. In 2013, I found this quiet little town up in the mountains called Blue Ridge, Georgia, and it soon became my quiet place, my get away for writing music. It’s always been my dream to produce a group of songs that weave together the stories of my life, and still involve my imagination. But it needed to sound exactly as I heard in it my head. I was not really a singer but a writer. But some friends encouraged me to sing it myself. So I found a vocal coach and worked hard at becoming a singer. Then I found a producer who helped me put together a stellar group of musicians to help record my debut album, "Twenty Mine Road" That one is checked off the bucket list. It's time to start the next. This is an eclectic group of songs that are each truly unique and yet somehow connected to each other in a work that defies genre categorization. The album really is a journey worth taking. Just like we did in the old days. Put your headphones on, no distractions, beginning to end. Try it. March 2019 So it’s been eighteen months since I posted my first project “Twenty Mine Road”. Thank you to everyone who has “fanned” me and left encouraging comments. I’ve been busy writing new material but I’ve been thinking I will go about it differently this time. Rather than taking ten songs into a professional studio, I’ve decided to record them myself and post each one as I get it as clean as I can. Not really pro grade but it sure will be more rewarding to me each time I upload a completed song. And since everyone is beating down my door to buy my first ten (so that I can hardly make time to get in a studio), it seems like a good place to catalog my ideas until I do.
