Howdy, I'm John
I'm a singer / Songwriter based in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
I am originally from Houston and have lived in Stone Mountian, Georgia, and The Dallas Fort Worth region of Texas before settling in Southern Oklahoma.
I have lived a life that has taken me to the edge of hell and back and I am grateful for every day I have left on this earth.
I had fronted The Badlands Band based in DFW in the early 2000's as well as doing solo shows and playing various instruments in other bands in the Houston area until my excesses got the best of me.
I had retired from performing in 2015 to focus on getting sober and getting my life & health back together and had kept that as my norm until I moved to Ardmore, Ok. It was there that I was talked into performing at an Open Mic Night and so began the revival of my singer songwriter career with a sober, alcohol free, mindset.
I have been blessed to play some of the finest venues in Oklahoma & Texas as well as being chosen to open shows for some of my songwriting heroes that have now become friends.
Not many people get the second chance at life that I have been given. I promise myself every day that I will make the best of the time I have left on this earth.
