By that evening, she had learned that the swelling in 3 year old Jafaralsadiq's neck, throat and face is Stage 3 Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare muscle cancer and that, because the tumor is impacting the 3 year old's brain stem, it is inoperable...BUT TREATABLE!!! Aggressive treatment began immediately, most notably, Jafaralsadiq's first round of chemotherapy. His second round begins October 8. #FightOnDude With that, their family along with friends, churches, communities, social media networks (Jafaralsadiq's Jedis), etc., jumped into action to provide much needed wholistic support... That includes FINANCIAL SUPPORT! This is one of those Fundraising (and Prayer Raising) efforts. As Brandee, accepted her first Pastorate assignment in January 2015, she, Jafaralsadiq and his big brother, Salahaldin (7), relocated from Colorado to Utah only months ago. Because of this, their support system has also been traveling there to render assistance and young Jafaralsadiq, a Star Wars enthusiast and well-proven Jedi Warrior Knight ;-), is receiving care and weathering chemo side effects at a Salt Lake City hospital. This family needs OUR prayers AND financial support... Please HELP! Any little bit WILL make a difference! Special thanks to Blenda Cooper (Jafaralsadiq's aunt), Sandra Watts & Jazz@Jack's, Dax Oliver, Vince Johnson Jr, Henry Archuleta & KUHS Radio/TV Denver, Keyonna & John Chapman of Lawrence & Larimer Clothing Co., Kandice Porter & Bonding To The Beat!, Äriel P. Spanning from classical to gospel to jazz through to rock, blues, pop, funk and soul, JoFoKe (bka Joslyn Ford-Keel) is such a vocalist who does th...See Full Bio
"JoFoKe is one of the greatest singers in this city [Denver]. Once, while walking downtown with a friend, I heard this voice soar over into the sky, over our heads and immediately into our hearts. We both looked at each other and tumbled into Appaloosa Grill with the quickness. "Jo was scatting for her life and singing the most beautiful bluesy jazz notes you’ll ever hear. We made a huge scene clapping and yelling like the rowdy music lovers we are and she just grinned and smiled with happiness. I couldn’t believe that voice was coming out of a human and not a machine..."
