I was a staff songwriter for a Nashville publisher for three years from 1997-1999. Since then I have been writing mostly rock for a local band. I also co-founded the Songwriters Workshop and taught songwriting to hundreds of writers from 1993 to the present. I am collecting all of my best songs on this site, but I also post them through my FaceBook page. For the backstory to each song, look them up at https://www.facebook.com/JimMelkoSongwriter.
