"Brother Bear" was Born of Tuscarora Indian Heritage (Decends from Mahawa Brown, Half Moon Territory, just South of Tuscarora, NC) in Coastal North Carolina in 1958. Activities in music include participating in Montgomery, AL (on the Steps of the Capital w Apache Bros Mikha'el and Marcus Bones) National Day of Prayer 2011, w Bershet Gua's "Glory Ride Team" of Worship on Horseback. Other pinnacle moments in Music include sitting in Indian Drum Circle, with Dennis Banks and Sharing Drum Songs w Crazy Horse's descendant, Jerome. In Washington, DC in 2008, we Drummed and Sang with Terry and Darlene Wildman of RainSong Music. Accompanying on Native Flute in Peggy Jone's Musical Group, "Holy Fire" in Williamsburg, VA area was a joy as well.
My Native Worship Music mentors are Titus Upham - Blackfeet Nation, Joanne Storm - Blackfeet Nation, Jonathan Maracle (Mohawk) founder of "Broken Walls" Ministry (w Kris Delorenzi, and Bill Pagaran) and Mohican, Bill Miller and Terry Wildman, Ojibwey of "Rainsong" (performing w wife Darlene ). Of course Cheryl Bear, Joanne Shenandoah, Valerie Horse Chief and Walelah are also influential in my choice of prime time First Nations music !
