Q: Here's a muso question. Are you a word man first or a music man first? which one starts you off on a song? And, btw, what in your opinion is the finest sounding chord in the musical language?

A: Hey Mike, No set rules for me! Whatever comes first! Sometimes a phrase i hear on the street or a melody that floats around in a dream starts me off but strangely enough they are always sad and in minor keys which leads nicely into my favorite chord which is Em. Borin' I know! but it can lead to anywhere.......... Peace.
