About the Artist

JAYL (Full name: Jayl De Lara). UK Singer Songwriter, Lead Vocalist, Performer, Poet, Producer, Philosopher, Martial Artist, Teacher & Coach of Life. Jayl is essentially a solo artist but works with many great musicians, dancers and artists in many different guises. Founder of the Harmony School and Harmony Label. Proponent and practitioner of the Bowiesque Purism genre and music methodology. JAYL has been very much an underground cult artist. Produced a large volume of diverse and magnificent music and art since the 1980's, which includes 5 albums, 6 Ep's, 8 Singles, 4 DVD's, and from 2008 -2013, the cutting-edge and dynamic sound of 'The Dance of Life' multimedia fusion project, which included an amazing ground-breaking album - THE DANCE OF LIFE. In 2014, Jayl was back as The Band of Life, with a highly eclectic 16 track double-album called ROMA. The Band of Life included Saxophonist MATT CLACKETT - most famous for his work with Danni Minogue, Nick Mason from Pink Floyd and the London group - The All Stars. SHEM BOOTH-SPAIN - protégé of the Harmony School, artist, singer, songwriter and member of the London based duo The Singing Pictures and ANTHONY CRAIG - Gloucester based blues guitarist and also a protégé of the Harmony School. Now in 2016, Jayl is back as a Duo called AMOR, with the beautiful and incredibly talented former royal harpist – JEMIMA PHILLIPS. They have produced a beautiful and haunting CD (with sheet music) part classical/part purism called THE WEDDING SONG (Today is the Day), that has also been digitally released across the world.
