Real music from the pages of real life. That sums up the music of Singer/Songwriter Jason Edwards. Known by many as "The Comeback Kid" , a nickname he was given by some friends when he made it through a near brush with death. Making a "comeback" or being a voice for the "under dog" is a common theme in Jason's music. His story sounds just like the lyrics of a country song, and that's why he writes songs about his life. From his early years hearing the old gospel hymns sung by the choir at the small country church his family attended, to his rebellious turn as a teenager, sneaking out to perform in the local taverns. From learning painful lessons, and the painful consequences that go with them, it's all there in the lyrics of his songs. "The Comeback Kid" truly is living out his very own "comeback story". His music, The good, the bad, and everything in between, speaks to those who are still living in a place called the "real world". Where it's not always sunshine and roses, but we play the hand we're dealt. A native of Eastern Tennessee, Jason developed a love for music and songwriting early in life. Raised in a family of bible believing Christians his first real taste of music was gospel. By the age of 16 he was already playing the local bars and club scene. Like many of his musical heroes such as Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr, and Steve Earle, Jason's music is like a window showing the world a glimpse of who he is, a reborn rebel, writing the soundtrack to his own story, and connecting with his listeners who often say "he must have wrote that song about my life!" Small country church choirs, to the late night East Tennessee taverns. From inside the cold walls of Brushy Mtn Penitentiary, to second chances and a new start. At times It's been a long difficult road for Jason Edwards, but overcoming a troubled past has led him to a bright future.
