Southeast Texas and Louisiana share a love of great music, food, and good times rooted in a sportsmans paradise of fishing, hunting, and country living. In Louisiana, French and African influences gave the culture a unique flavor. That culture represents the epitome of the American melting-pot: disparate people coming together and blending food, music, language and culture to create something unique and rich, always new yet always steeped in tradition. Katy has gone from the prairie community of Cane Island to one of the most dynamic regions of the greater Houston/Gulf Coast area with residential and economic growth along the 99 Grand Parkway.
