Iyah Angel born Oageng Andrew Nkgothoe in Leratong Hospital in Krugersdorp in Gauteng Province, later on His Mother Relocated to the Village called Moshana in Lehurutshe in Zeerust, North West.Iyah Angel Started attending his Primary at Lencoe Primary School from there he went to Mmakgaje Middle School and he Completed his Matric (Grade 12) at Mpolokang High School back in 2004.His Music Journey Started Back in 2010 after Meeting an Artist from Limpopo Province by the name Mpho Fyah Prince Nthai in Venda.Iyah's first Radio Interview was at Mash Fm in Mpumalanga in a location called Mashishing.In 2017 Iyah won money from the 4th Quarterly Worldwide Music Competition from Benefit Music in California in USA,on that very same year Iyah completed his BAA Course (Basic Ambulance Attendant) at Bokone Bophirima Ambulance Training College in Rustenburg, North West.On the 9th of November 2024 Iyah won an Award at Soweto Theatre from SAUMA11 (THE 11th Annual of the South African Upcoming Musicians Awards) and he also performed on that Event after Winning an Award .Iyah Angel had an Interview with the Sauma HD Radio's on the night he won an Award at Soweto Theatre and he also appeared on the National Newspaper "Sunday World" with other Winners from Different Genre's.On the 18th of January 2025 Iyah Angel was again recognized at the Queensoulvibe_SA Reggae Dancehall Appreciation Awards,it was a live Streaming Event on facebook,on that Event Iyah Won an Award for his Organization called Iyah Angel Youth Foundation ,Iyah Angel Youth Foundation won a Community Builder Award and He also won an Award for the Best Upcomer Artist of the Year . Iyah won 3 Awards in 2024 all in all.In 2025 Iyah Angel got Nominated again for the Best Reggae Category by Sauma Awards and nothing much really happened in 2025.In 2026 Iyah got Nominated by Mzansi Art's and Media Awards (MaMa26 Summer Edition), We are now looking forward for the Voting lines to Open from the 16th of July Until 30th of September,this time Iyah Angel got Nominated for the Best Hip -Hop Category.Iyah Angel is planning to drop an Ep Somewhere around August so follow him in all socials for more updates.
