Isolate the Unknown

Isolate The Unknown is an American Heavy Metal band from Charlotte, NC. Active members include David P. McArdle(Guitarist) & Joshua Berndt(Vocalist). Former active members are Jon Price & Brad Joyce. Isolate The Unknown formed in the summer of 2010 with members Jon, David, & Brad. From 2010 - 2015, the band went through an evolution of sound & song writing which led them constantly searching for a vocalist that could evolve with them. In 2015, the band decided to record a 4 song demo, with each song different from the next, to find a vocalist that had the creative capabilities to keep up with the bands evolving sound. A few months after the demo circulated in & around the Charlotte music scene, & with the band having a revolving door of auditions, Josh Berndt came in & the rest is history. In 2016, the band met with producer Rob Tavaglione of Catalyst Recording to create what would be their first music release with their new vocalist. The E.P. "ECLIPSE", would be released August 20, 2017 on all major music streaming services. A year later of writing & with the E.P well received, the band decided to head back to Catalyst Recording with Rob. February 22, 2022, Isolate The Unknown released their first full length album "ieogenis" streaming on all major music platforms. The success of the album landed them a 2023 article write up in Total World Magazine, airplay on multiple radio stations in the northern US and UK, & an underground fanbase that has doubled in size since the release of ieogenis. The recent pandemic did halt the bands activity, along with guitarist, David McArdle, being diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. David & Josh are currently working on the preproduction of latest & final Isolate The Unknown album coming soon.
