Lyrics are spat through the speakers as if they were bullets and each thundering drum beat and crash of a cymbal is another outlet for this song's energy to hit home. The sheer way of how this song can emit such force and emotion through audio is the reason it is my favourite on the EP. ”

“INCUBATED are a 3 piece Alternative Metal band based in Hull. Bringing a wide variety of influences including the sounds of Soundgarden, Limp Bizkit, Less than Jake, Nine Inch Nails and even Dream Theater. ‘A Lesson Learned’ opens slow and dramatic, in which it then progresses heavier and more in depth of melodic metal. The snare drum throughout, has a really nice echo to it, guitars are beefy, the vocals are powerful and solid, and the track is well put together. The last 2 – 2 1/2 minutes of the track take it even further and up a notch. Faster, harder and an awesome solo. I thoroughly enjoy A Lesson Learned by Incubated. And I would highly recommend the track to any metal fan. ”
