High M [Idowu Michael Oluwakayode] - Hails from Irele Lg, Ondo state, A Graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, where he studied Soil Science & Land Resources Management- is known to be a rap hustler. He is a creative and conscious rapper, lyricist, songwriter and sometimes singer. A Dance choreographer by training who has not looked back since his first venture into entertainment as a teenager.
The first child of a widowed Mum, Michael believes in his profound connection with music as a creative medium with which he can express himself to the world. He hopes to, through innovative hardwork and pure passion, fulfill this lifelong dream.
In 2012, (which happened to be his official introduction into the industry) he dropped a 17 track mixtape album titled “L.A.T.E” [Light At The End] which made N0. 3 on “Top 10 mixtapes of 2012″ via “Bloggers Choice” music chart, Mybbmradio.net published the Top Ten Mixtapes in 2012, and guess who claimed the number 10 spot, HIGH M, the only newbie and Indie artist on the list.
In 2013, he bagged the Award for the Best new Artiste (South West Region) in TOP NAIJA MUSIC AWARDS [TNMA], He further proved his musical prowess when he went ahead to win the coveted UNDISPUTED OAU AWARDS and the respected “Artistry Nigeria Award of Recognition”, ARYSTOCRATS COMMUNITY AWARD (Best New Artiste), and finally rounded off the year as a Finalist at the Nokia (Don't Break D Beat 2013) rap competition.
In 2014, coined a 4-MAN crew (THE FACTORY PACK, comprising LEKADOT, GBASKY, VEEJAY and HIMSELF) who went on to release "Breaking Boxes" the "Number 10", off the "15 Most Purchased Albums" on digital Platform SPINLET, and happened to be the only Indie Musicians amongst Heavyweights in Nigerian Music and furthermore the Crew went on to drop a compilation album "Recess" in 2016.
High M has been notably name amongst the rising stars in Nigerian Music, featured on some popular tracks alongside fast rising stars including A-Q, Blaqbonez, Badwolf, MVP, MsChief, Eclipse, McSkill Tha Preacha, Slay, Tek Raymond, Viruz Zamora, Coldman amongst others. He is driven by his responsibilities towards his family to passionately invest in his love for music.
