The Furies at BOCCA LIVE with Hunting Agnes, Hopelessly Fried, and Black Market Party! ALL AGES! Hailing from all over the country but converging in Boston, Massachusetts The Furies are a band apart. The all female group combines lyrical finesse with instrumental prowess, mixing catchy riffs and lush harmonies that draw from wide influences; Jeff Buckley, Regina Spektor and Led Zeppelin, to name a few. Not just a group of musicians, but a collaborative of songwriters, composers, and multi-instrumentalists, The Furies are carving out a name all their own and much like their namesake, they mean business. Lead singer Lee Moretti is most noted for her time spent as Third Eye Blind's multi-instrumentalist and background vocalist. The Furies debut single, a remix of their song "Keep Away," was arranged, recorded and produced by Third Eye Blind's Stephan Jenkins, and features Third Eye Blind band members Brad Hargreaves and Abe Millet on drums and bass respectively. Their debut EP is slated for release in 2015. "On a night when everything on stage was good, it took a tremendous push of energy to finish out on a high note, and the Furies didn't disappoint. The all-female band puts forward flat-out rock 'n' roll that both feels contemporary and blisters with hooks and propulsion (and notably a delightful inclusion of a cello on a couple of songs, which broke up the sound gorgeously). It was a powerhouse finish.." - Victor D. Infante Hunting Agnes consists of brothers, Bryan and Glenn Booth, along with Ben Wade, and Eric Ricciardi. The band originally formed late 2007 with their first show at the historic Madison Theater on January 12th 2008. Having experience with a multitude of instruments, from mandolin and banjo to piano and violin, occasionally brings varying ingredients to their original sound. A night with Hunting Agnes always satisfies the eclectic tastes of most any music lover. These guys are hungry and always hunting to entertain wherever, and whenever they can. With a charitable frame of mind, Hunting Agnes enjoys playing for a cause. They have done benefit shows for soldiers heading off to Iraq, Cystic Fibrosis, Easter Seals, local charities, as well as committed at least 10% of their album sales to the American Cancer Society. Hunting Agnes is always open to rocking to help make a difference. Black Market Party started around September 2012 with the goal in mind of making music that people like ourselves would enjoy. John Gay/lead vocals/rhythm guitar, Cameron Williams/lead guitar/vocals, Roy Johnson/Bass, Thomas Southard/drums. we have some tunes that are fast paced, some heavy, and some heart felt. we all came together for the love of great music and that's what we want to give to you. Black Market Party has a unique sound that's a mix between 90's grunge and punk rock with our own twist put on it. we all came from rock n roll backgrounds in this group and when put together we have a sound that seems to have been missing from the music scene for a long time but we are working our asses off bringing the delicious licks, pounding drum beats, thunderous bass lines, heavy riffs, and beautiful blood curdling vocals, back to the dinner table. check us out and stay tuned because we always have something new up our sleeves.

“New to town and curious about the Cincinnati area music scene, I stumbled upon the Hunting Agnes show haphazardly. Turns out, not only was I introduced to a great music venue, I happened upon a great band. Hunting Agnes’ performance spoke for itself, setting them apart from other bands that performed that night. Hunting Agnes has an interesting sound that seems to recapture something lost to contemporary radio-viable music. They have a style unique to themselves. They share it boldly and without shame. My eyes fixed on center stage when singer Ben Wade played guitars and violin while singing his heart out. Hunting Agnes is most definitely a rock band but what they do is more deep than that. A variety of well blended music elements makes their sound wholesome. Whether Hunting Agnes was playing an old tune or a new tune, a basic rock song or a stringy ballad, I felt complete and whole. Hunting Agnes was thoroughly entertaining.”
