“HOLLOW GROUND—ROADS TRAVELED—No Label, No Number. From Scott County, Va., just a little ways from Bristol, hails the Hollow Ground bluegrass band. The band consists of Mike Adams (bass), Jason Blankenship (fiddle), Robert Edwards (guitar), Millard Edwards (banjo), David Holtsclaw (mandolin), Brian Vicchio (guitar). Most lead singing is by Robert Edwards with other member providing harmony. Original tunes include contributions from Mike Adams and both Robert and Millard Edwards. These include “Three Kinds Of Moonshine,” “Going Back Home,” “Enough,” and the title cut “Roads I’ve Traveled.” The project also has covers of “Where Corn Don’t Grow,” “Bootleg John,” and Bill Monroe’s “Rawhide,” and, a real nice version of the Lynyrd Skynyrd hit “Simple Man.” An overall good project from this Southwest Virginia group.”
