Canadian-born, Seattle-based jazz vocalist Heather Ward has recently released her first solo album, ‘Honeysweet’. From a very musical family, she surprised them by first attending art school, but performing at gallery openings led her back to music at Vancouver Community College and then Capilano University for Jazz Performance studies. She has always been fascinated with translating music from varied genres into jazz, which is displayed on her new album, “Honeysweet”. She has performed around Vancouver and Seattle, teaches private voice lessons (member of NATS), and paints.
