What be this Plunderfest Art & Music Festival? Tis a Pirate festival supportin' th' arts an' music. Plunderfest Art & Music Festival Art installation information and submission forms are available on the website. --PLUNDERFEST 2012--- Lineup : Nathen Maxwell & the Original Bunny Gang Known from his work with the international touring band Flogging Molly, Nathan Maxwell and the original bunny gang is gracing the stage this year with a surely to be remembered, rare, performance of reggae and irish blessing IRISH Reggae!!! Nathen also stated that he will be partying with us as late as he can. SOOOO STOKED!!!!!!! USEFUL JENKINS How does one even describe these guys? Simply put.... One of the best original bands in midwest! If you haven't seen a show with these guys..... well... you’ll be finding something that might just be missing from your life. Dead Larry From the great state of Iowa rides a crew of funkadelic insanity. Taking the stage in 2011 they pulled in the crowd from deep within the woods, and lead the journey from the stage to the fire sculpture.... keeping with good tradition, they have agreed to take the stage again friday night and lead us all to the burn. i Like you Just releasing a new cd into the world “Fall in Like” i Like you will be treating us to amazing vocals and inspiring song as the sun declines into the horizon. Magic.... pure magic. The Mothership Connection Oh sweet pirate scurvy! ... A mutinous grind of hip-hop, funk, reggae, and a touch of turntable. Very enjoyable, never forgettable.... you couldn’t if you tried. Seriously... if you tried and they catch wind of it, you might find them in your camp ready to give you a solo performance. Tronic Tribe Genre’s almost cannot be a describing word for what this band can do on stage... but if we had to give it one it would simply be put as “AMAZING!”. Jam band meets dub step meets funk meets you! Jon Eric Hailing from Iowa this master of the banjo is known for is amazing heart and lightning fast fingers. Jon can be seen from time to time making surprise appearances at festivals through out the midwest and wailing banjo tunes that can only be described as “Thats just Jon Eric”. You have to see it to believe it... LOOM IN ESSENCE Glitch hop madness! Quickly reached the number one spot on Beatport in glitch hop. Melodic electronic organic sounds simply can’t be described and MUST be felt. SkyTree "Those with a penchant for the otherworldly in their bass music would be well-served to dive into Consciousness." - The Untz The Style Byters Words just can’t really express how funky these cats are.... Best described as a new age modern day beastie boys. Something you don’t want to miss, the stage presents is amazing!!! Makers of Love Theme Camp Inducting into the first Plunderfest, the Makers of Love will be setting up a theme camp full of insanity. ME ME ME Space Monster T.U.G.G. Thee Evil Creatures Brady *live* Gibby Hibbies SMASH! Shakedown City *Artist* Chuck Hues The Regulars (pending approval) +more will be added up to festival date We also have an electronic stage this year that we are working out the details to. The Pheonix burn is returning, We are introducing new art installations all over, So much more to list..... SO EXCITED!!!!! THE ELECTRIC OCEAN! Electricity....

We are living breathing Circuitry.
Nature built technology systems awaiting instruction from the universe.

We have an ever constant current flowing from within us, extending all around us...
Without current, we have no electricity...
Without electricity we are not even energy. If we are not energy... we don’t exist. Imagine if you will, a single LED, to represent you and all that you are in creation.
Now imagine a field, wide open, to represent the space in which we occupy.
Further imagine, what your single LED would look like in a wide open field by itself...
Even Further, imagine what a field would look like with hundreds of glowing LED’s...

By ourselves we may feel overwhelmed by the pressures of what we can accomplish alone....

We want to remind you....
It starts with one...
One spark..

We want to remind you...
That you are never alone...
That YOUR spark matters...

How do we prove this concept?

We will show you!

We invite you to participate in this years theme by purchasing a single LED candle for less then a dollar.

We invite you to place your LED in a very special field on our friday night....
We want you to see for yourselves what the glow of our hearts combined looks like.

We want you to hold in that moment.....
to Never forget that you are part of something bigger then yourself...
to Never forget that you matter....

Because without your spark....

The world is just less electric.

Welcome to the Electric Ocean....
and welcome to Plunderfest 2012.
We encourage you to build! Bring your ideas to life and light up our nights with the colors of your ship and crew. Let’s get down to the rules...... If you build it... It has to be safe! It needs to go home with you! If you can’t bring it home, it has to burn.... If it burns it has to be safe for the environment. Please do not leave your structures behind... this is a leave no trace event. By doing this and planning ahead helps us continue to hold this event. SOUND!!!! It can have sound... but please tell us how you plan on incorporating sound into your structure. We have! have! have! a very strict sound rule, and we need to know what your planning! We need to know where we can place you in order to make it work with everyone. We have a very specific sound system on the main stage, that is designed for the park, we can only imagine that yours is not designed specifically for the park..... We have a very strict “end ALL AMPLIFIED MUSIC by 1AM”.... and we are enforcing that to its full extent. We have to follow that rule, so do you.... Please help us be diligent and maintain the structural integrity of the event. This does not mean we need you in your tents and slumbering... this just means if your MUSIC requires electricity.... don’t do it. ((sorry drummers... you have been classified as electric)) LIGHTS!!!! Oh we can have lights!!!!! There is no law for how epic your light display can be.... and the only limit to your display is light itself! Let the sun shine tonight! If you have something magical in mind, TRUST US!!!! it’s encouraged!!! ....again....just be SAFE!!!! FIRE!!! Fire performers this one is for you. If you are going to perform fire this year at plunder.... you have to have insurance.... Sorry, it’s for the greater good of everyone. We will do our best to make sure EVERYONE that has the skill for it, is insured. Please bring a copy of your insurance with you to the gate... you will get a fire performer wristband that says you know what your doing. anyone who doesn’t know what they are doing... if you are performing fire and get caught... your fire toys will be removed... and held till the end of the event. WE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY. If you are caught again.... your immediate removal from the festival will be sad for your friends... so don’t do that... keep your friends happy and play safely :) OK OK OK!!!! SO I HAVE ALL THAT!!! WHAT NEXT???? NO PETS NO GLASS NO SHOES ((ok you can have shoes... its just not as much fun)) What do you do when you arrive? We will have a friendly greeter come say hello... they will ask you to pop your trunk. Nothing fancy, we just want to make sure you left your pets at home. NO PETS You will be asked if you have glass in your car.... If you have glass.... no worries, we will just ask you kindly at this point to transfer whatever is in the glass... to something plastic or less breakable. NO GLASS If you don’t have glass.... AWESOME! thank you for not bringing glass!!!! If you spaced on the greeter because your just that excited to be back... you will have a second chance at the gate. Our super awesome gate person will check your cooler, if you have glass.... it’s gonna be taken. We are not mean.... you will have a chance to find something to transfer your item into.... The glass however.... stays with us. So please... Bio: The Gibby Hibbies are located in central Minnesota. Starting off as just some friends doing improv. jamming. Depending on what kind of venue you see them play at, you could be experiencing an acoustic show with djembes as the lead percussion. Otherwise for the more upbeat shows, you'll see syn...See Full Bio
