Gordon and I go back to 7th grade and he was always a phenomenal talent! I was there when his Dad bought him his first Gibson SG Standard and his brother Mike a matching Bass - I always knew he would go far - He could play Clapton and Hendrix even back then - first guy I knew who could play "Classical Gas".....Go Dude!

Why do so many white guys play in blues bands? Cause you only have to learn 3 or 4 chords. However, if done right, it has merit. Hat's off to The Groovetones and GE Perry. The others pale by comparison. Here's a live cut by my friends Paul Butterfield and Mike Bloomfield. No one else can carry their cases! I gigged with them wayyyy back in the day. Lot's of down-time watching' Mike shoot heroine and doing shots with him....no, I didn't do "horse"! But I did lots of shots! ROY FRANCO

“Pete Love 23 hours ago via mobile · Somebody better check Brittania Pub this morning and make sure the rain's not getting in 'cos we tore the roof off the place last night...I may not always see eye to eye with Gordon Perry in matters politic but the man can play a guitar like nobody else...I still haven't thanked him enough for his work on my first (and hopefully not last CD)....guitar maestro Ed Nolan also stopped by and played nice long set with us...awesome chops going down all around...Larry Thackston and Jay Hackney layin' down the groove all night...most enjoyable....viva la Smoking Gun! missed it! Next time!”
