Singer/Songwriter Geno Samero was born and raised in South Jersey and began performing music at age 14. "As a young boy I sang in the choir at All Saints Burlington NJ. I was in Mr Van Buren's music classes at Holy Cross High School in Delran, NJ. One of my first gigs was at the school talent show where I sang and played drums." While attending Delaware Technical Community College, Geno was recruited by Gary Evans to be one of the original Kings of Karaoke, and started getting a steady paycheck to sing all over the DE Valley. Geno is a devoted musician and travels to wherever the next gig is. He is the driving force behind his rock band the Diligents, and has performed over 3000 concerts throughout the DE valley, Georgia, Florida, New England and the Carribean. Geno once played a concert in the Virgin Islands that lasted over 8 hours.While in California, Geno spent time recording at the famous Laurel Canyon home of Dan Aykroyd/Cass Elliot in the Hollywood Hills, with Legendary Rock Producer Dito Godwin. He has also logged countless hours in recording studios in Florida and at Full Sail where he was mentored by other accomplished major label producers. Geno loves to meet new artists and has had many musical partners over the years who often reunite with him on stage. He is also a father to his 17 year old son Zachary, who is a tremendous source of inspiration and support. Zachary has joined in on Harmonica, Drums and Bass over the years and we expect more father/son collaborations!
